About Caroline
Individual Psychotherapy
My Biography
Located in Bethesda, Maryland, I am Caroline Sehon, a board-certified psychoanalyst and psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience providing comprehensive mental health care.
My practice offers specialized psychoanalytic and psychotherapy services to adults, children, and adolescents, as well as couple and family therapy.
My training in both Canada and the United States has shaped my integrated approach to understanding and addressing the complex psychological and developmental needs of my patients.

A Message from Caroline Sehon
Taking the courageous step to seek therapy or psychoanalysis is often undertaken during times of distress, confusion, or overwhelming life changes such as grief, loss, career transitions, or family disruptions. I understand that entrusting someone with your vulnerabilities is a significant decision. As a psychoanalyst and physician working with individuals, couples, and families, I offer a deep and compassionate understanding of the complexities of the human mind and the power of emotional experience.
My aim is to earn your trust and actively collaborate with you in exploring the difficulties you face. While challenges and impasses can be painful, I believe they also present powerful opportunities for personal growth and transformation. Through therapy, you can gain valuable and life-changing insight into patterns of thinking and relating that may be holding you back from reaching your full potential. Uncovering the root causes of your current struggles can empower you to create a more meaningful and joyful life, and to build a more resilient and fulfilling future.
Whether you're considering individual psychoanalysis or psychotherapy, or seeking support for your relationships through couple or family therapy, I invite you to reach out – I am here to answer your questions with care and help you determine if my therapeutic approach is the right fit for you.
Thank you,
